1. If cults are so bad, why do people join them?
There's a variety of different reasons why people decide to join cults. Sometimes, they feel like they need to fulfill a spiritual longing, they like being a part of something bigger than themselves, or the most common reason, people don't even realize they've been recruited into a cult! It's ridiculous and cults need to be stopped.
2. How do cults help or hurt society?
Cults hurt society in many more ways than it helps us. First of all, cult members try to scam people, right off the streets, into giving their "charity" donations. They also recruit members and turn them against the rest of society. To be frank, cults don't really help society in any given way.
3. Do all cults worship Satan?
Not all cults believe in the worship of Satan. Some cults believe in extreme worship of God or even Atheism. All cults are stuck to one belief, though. Whether it be God, the Devil, or nothing at all, cults are all about worship to an extremity.
4. What is the difference between cults and religion?
Society usually looks at religion as a good thing, and it looks as cults as bad worship. Although, some people believe that cults are a form of religion. Most cult members look at their cult as a very spiritual and religious group, not a group of brain-washed strangers.
5. How many people are involved in cults each year?
An estimated 5 to 7 million Americans are involved in cults or cult-like groups each year. I think that's 5 to 7 million Americans too many, don't you?
